IDO AHARONI ARONOFF

Born in Tel Aviv to a family that settled in the Land of Israel in the 1870’s, he spent his entire diplomatic career in the United States, on both coasts. A veteran of Israel’s Foreign service, public diplomacy specialist, founder of the Brand Israel Program, and a well-known practitioner on political marketing, positioning and the branding of places.
Aharoni has held senior business advisory positions with several multinational corporations, such as APCO Worldwide, Libra Group, MasterCard, Value Base, Bank Leumi USA, among others. He has also advised several publicly traded technology companies and mentored several startups.
He has served as Global Distinguished Professor of Business at Touro University and has also served as a Global Distinguished Professor for International Relations at New York University. He has been a Member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University and a lecturer at the university’s Coller School of Management. He is also the Maurray Galinson Professor of International Relations at University of California in San Diego (UCSD) and San Diego State University’s Fowler Business School (SDSU).
Aharoni has frequently appeared in national and international media as a commentator and opinion writer. Aharoni has been Israel’s longest-serving Consul-General in New York.
